Pumpkin Painting Ideas for Halloween

When my twins were younger, pumpkin painting was our go-to fall activity. There was always paint splattered everywhere, glitter covering every surface, and pumpkins rolling off the table – but my kids loved it!

Fast forward to now and they’re tweens. So they’re not as excited about it. At all. But because it’s our tradition, they go along with it. And you know what, I can tell they still secretly enjoy it, even if they roll their eyes a little.

My daughter has always been crafty, so she still adds her own special touch to everything. She’ll bring out stencils, sketch her designs first, and find the perfect color combos, while my son’s pumpkin tends to be a little more…ummm…freestyle (a.k.a. paint everywhere).

Even though they’re older, it’s still one of those activities where we can laugh, get creative, and just enjoy the moment together.

If you’re looking to start or keep up your own pumpkin painting tradition, I’ve got some fun, easy ideas to help you get started.
